Mosquita y Mari, written and to be directed by Aurora Guerrero is a story I relate to in so many ways. Complicated and intense same-sex friendships, adolescent longing, the expectations and pressure of parents from another culture and country - every page of that script moved me to commit to sharing this story with the world. There are so many tender and painful experiences we have growing up, and this story brings me back to several moments in my life that shaped my identity. 

Its been a few flights, gallons of gas, a lot of rejection and a years later, but here we are, about $50k away from filming THIS SUMMER. I know we can and will do it because this is a story that goes beyond gay, straight, Latino, and illuminates the one thing we often forget we all have in common: love.
